New York State Tax Relief STAR Program Will Reduce School Property Taxes Depending on Eligibility Until December

The New York State Tax Relief STAR program aims to reduce school property taxes depending on eligibility wherein the New York State Tax Relief STAR program is expected to last until December this year to help low-income homeowners with their bills.

According to a report published in FingerLakes1, homeowners living in the state, earning $500,000 and below are eligible for the New York State Tax Relief STAR program while homeowners at least 65 years old living in the state and making $93,000 and below are also encouraged to submit for the New York State Tax Relief STAR program.

For eligible homeowners in the New York State Tax Relief STAR program, the relief can be expected through exemption or a credit check, wherein the direct exemptions for the New York State Tax Relief STAR Program are provided to homeowners since 2015 while checks are provided to new homeowners.
