They assert that Hill interfered with the jury by influencing them to disregard Richard Alexander Murdaugh’s testimony and defense evidence, pressuring them for a swift guilty verdict, and even providing false information to remove a defense-favorable juror. The motion further alleges that Hill had “frequent private conversations with the jury foreperson” in an attempt to sway the panel towards a guilty verdict.
According to the filing, Hill’s motives were driven by a desire for a lucrative book deal and media appearances, jeopardizing the integrity of the trial. This revelation follows the airing of the docuseries “The Fall of the House of Murdaugh” on Fox Nation, featuring an interview with Hill conducted by Martha MacCallum.
Hill had previously revealed in the series that she compared the Murdaugh family’s tragedies to the Kennedys and expressed concerns about their local influence.
