Statesville Man Charged with Multiple Felonies in Connection to Sexual Assault at Northview Academy

Statesville man charged, identified as Triston Dionte Perrin, 29, is facing a series of serious charges related to an alleged sexual assault on an adult at Northview Academy in Statesville.

Triston Dionte Perrin, Statesville man charged with multiple felonies

The Statesville Police Department revealed that Perrin, a Statesville man charged has been accused of several felonies, including second-degree forcible rape, assault by strangulation, first-degree kidnapping, two counts of attempted second-degree forcible sex offense, and misdemeanor assault on a female. The incident reportedly took place at 625 Carolina Ave. N., and law enforcement officers responded to the scene on August 19 following a sexual assault report.

The Statesville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division took charge of the case and, after a thorough investigative process, identified Triston Dionte Perrin, a Statesville man charged as the suspect. According to police, Perrin, a Statesville man charged allegedly contacted the victim through online channels and arranged a meeting at Northview Academy, which is located at the aforementioned address.

It is important to note that neither the victim nor Perrin, a Statesville man charged have any connection to the school

On the night of the incident, the victim arrived at the school in her vehicle, engaged in a phone conversation with Perrin, a Statesville man charged, and was met by him in the outdoor picnic area of the academy. The reported assault occurred in this area.

Authorities underscore that despite the location being Northview Academy, there is no actual link between the assault and the institution itself. It’s important to remember that Perrin, a Statesville man charged is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
