According to a report published in CBS News, the West Nile virus 2023 could be transmitted from a mosquito bite, risking everyone, especially people aged 50 and above and those with weak immune systems who could not fight the effects of the West Nile virus 2023.

Following the increasing cases of the West Nile virus 2023, Colorado health officials urged the public to remember tips to reduce the risk of infection, such as using insect repellent, Longmont Leader reported.

Residents can also dress in pants and long sleeves to prevent the risk of being bitten by infected mosquitoes or avoid going out of their homes, especially at dusk or dawn, and if someone has been experiencing symptoms of West Nile virus 2023, consult health officials immediately.
