Mark Anthony Gonzales has been arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly breaking into a condo-style resort near Lake Tahoe and fondling the feet of sleeping women
The incidents in question occurred over the Fourth of July weekend at resort condominiums in Stateline, Nev. According to the DCSO statement, Mark Anthony Gonzales entered two ground-floor rooms by opening unlocked screen doors during the early morning hours between July 1-3, 2023. Once outside, he would position himself at the bottom of the bed and rub the feet of two different adult females. The women woke up during the act, confronted him, and he fled the scene.
The sheriff’s office utilized forensic techniques to identify Mark Anthony Gonzales as the suspect. He was subsequently booked into the Merced County Jail on two counts of burglary and two counts of battery.

According to the authorities, Mark Anthony Gonzales was known to the local authorities in Merced County and was suspected of various crimes, including stealing women’s shoes, trespassing, and engaging in sexual self-gratification during some incidents.
Douglas County Sheriff Dan Coverley expressed his satisfaction with the arrest, stating that such crimes are deeply alarming to the community, and Mark Anthony Gonzales’ apprehension allows the victims and the community to feel safer once again.
Mark Anthony Gonzales’ legal representation or plea has not been disclosed at this time. The authorities believe that Mark Anthony Gonzales’ alleged crimes were escalating in nature, raising concerns about his behavior.
