The sexual assault suspect, Negasi Zuberi, 29, was arrested for kidnapping last July 16 after a 45-minute standoff with police officers in a Walmart parking lot in Reno, Nevada, after the sexual assault victim had stopped a passing motorist and called 911. The sexual assault suspect has lived in 10 states since 2016, including Utah, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Alabama, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Nevada.

The sexual assault suspect has been suspected of at least four sexual assaults in four states. The FBI believes there may be more sexual assault victims.

According to the complaint, on July 15, the sexual assault suspect picked up the prostitute woman in Seattle, away from his home in Oregon. The sexual assault told the victim he was an undercover agent and forced the sexual assault victim into his car, handcuffed the arms of the victim, and put the leg of the victim in irons. The sexual assault victim said she saw a gun in the car.

After driving for hours, the sexual assault suspect put a black sweatshirt over the victim’s head and led the sexual assault victim into the garage of his home, where he had made a cinderblock cell. The victim was placed inside the cinderblock cell, and the sexual assault suspect locked the door and left.

The sexual assault victim fought for her life, beating the doors and the walls of the cinderblock cell with bloodied hands. When police responded to the 911 call placed by the motorist who picked up the sexual assault victim, the police discovered a makeshift cinderblock cell with a metal door and a single light bulb above for light.

After obtaining a search warrant, police investigators found the purse of the sexual assault victim at the residence.
