A Seattle man pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and other charges against him
A Seattle man who hit two activists with his car, killing one of the activists, during a Black Lives Matter rally in Seattle last 2020, has pleaded guilty in court to multiple crimes.
Dawit Kelete, a 30-year-old Seattle man, pleaded guilty in court to vehicular homicide in the death of Summer Taylor, a Black Lives Matter activist, last Thursday.
The Seattle man also pleaded guilty to reckless driving and vehicular assault. Lawyers recommend a sentence to a Seattle man of more than six years imprisonment and 18 months of probation as part of the plea deal.

The Seattle man will be sentenced in September
According to the Washington State Patrol, on July 4, 2020, a Seattle man drove the wrong way around a barricade of parked vehicles and hit Taylor and Diaz Love. Love was hospitalized with multiple injuries, and Taylor died.
The Seattle man was arrested and admitted to the police that he was withdrawing from the narcotic pain medication.
The Seattle man said he suffered from an untreated addiction, court documents said.
