Student Debt Relief Coming to More Than 7,000 CollegeAmerica Former Students Following False Program Advertisement Allegations

$130 million in student debt relief is coming to more than 7,000 former students of CollegeAmerica following the false program advertisement allegations, wherein the Colorado college allegedly promised students that one of the college’s programs would lead to EMT certification.

Under the student debt relief, the administration will aim to help the eligible students who have been deceived by the CollegeAmerica, leading to the withholding of student debt relief and other financial aid to the college; however, CollegeAmerica denied the allegations and even sued the Department of Education for targeting their school.

Through the student debt relief plan, the administration aimed to help thousands of students who struggled to repay their student loans, providing them with student debt relief, Connect FM reported.

Eligible College Students from CollegeAmerica Will Receive $130 Million in Student Debt Relief

With the student debt relief, Colorado college students who studied in CollegeAmerica from 2006 to July 1, 2020, will automatically receive $130 million in student debt relief and do not need to file a repayment application.

ABC News reported that thousands of eligible college students will be notified in August to check if their remaining student loans have already been cleared through student debt relief.
