New Plan for Student Debt Cancellation Coming to Eligible Low-Income Loan Borrowers
Following the rejection of the administration’s original plan for student debt cancellation, a new plan for student debt cancellation aiming to provide debt relief to eligible low-income loan borrowers is introduced, wherein the student debt cancellation will take full effect in July next year.
Under the new plan for student debt cancellation called Saving on A Valuable Education or SAVE, eligible low-income loan borrowers will expect relief, which will help them save monthly payments and have a lower interest while repaying their student debt.
The low-income loan borrowers who will be entitled to the relief under the new student debt cancellation will have lower amounts of loans even with the unpaid interest as long as the eligible borrowers for the student debt cancellation keep up with the monthly payment left for them.
