Following the approval of the Montana income tax rebate, eligible taxpayers in the state will expect up to $2,500 in direct payments, which will return the overpaid taxes in the form of the Montana income tax rebate.
The Montana income tax rebate will bring back the overpaid taxes worth more than 450 million from the last tax year to eligible taxpayers, with every taxpayer being entitled to up to $2,500 in direct payments.
According to a report from The US Sun, eligible taxpayers will get the Montana income tax rebate in direct payments, wherein the individual filers will expect $1,250, and the married filers will get $2,500 under the Montana income tax rebate.

Montana Income Tax Rebate Will Return Overpaid Taxes to Eligible Taxpayers
With the approval of the Montana income tax rebate, taxpayers who have successfully filed their 2020 and 2021 taxes will be eligible to direct payments from the Montana income tax rebate.
The eligible taxpayers for the Montana income tax rebate will expect direct payments through the mail or their bank accounts as long as they already comply with the requirements of the Montana income tax rebate.
