The police arrested a man after human remains were discovered in a barrel floating at upstate South Carolina Lake.

South Carolina Police arrested Eric Shawn Fetzer, 25, for destruction and desecration of human remains. The arrest has been made after Police deputies of Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office joined both the Department of Natural Resources of South Carolina and the emergency offices of Spartanburg County in an investigation last Thursday at Lake Thicketty, where the human remains were found.
Police found the barrel near the shore, and after opening it, the police discovered human remains. It appears that the human remains had been in the container for days.
The authorities identified the human remains of Jeffrey Sutphin, 56, who was reported missing on June 15.
