The Minneapolis City Council killed the proposal of rent control despite the absence of three Muslim council members due to the Eid al-Adha holiday.

During the council meeting regarding the decision to approve or kill the proposal for rent control, three Muslim council members could not participate because they were out observing the religious holiday, but the council decided to proceed with the meeting.
