A 71-year-old former police chief named David M. Crawford was convicted of setting twelve revenge fires in the houses of his enemies due to grudges he held for years.
During the investigation, authorities discovered that the former police chief and his wife targeted several people, including a former city official, relatives, and his chiropractors, and had their revenge by setting their houses or vehicles on fire.
However, the former police chief claimed that he never intended to kill any of his targets, and authorities revealed that he would check on his victims’ conditions after setting their homes on fire, People reported.
