With the decreasing homeownership rates of the low-income population and minority groups in the city, the housing expo was organized to fill in the gap between them and the housing representatives to help them know how to access affordable housing.

To assist individuals and groups that needed one, the housing expo consisted of events providing services to the targeted minority groups and low-income families, which included classes on the processes of home buying and homeownership.
