A day before both of the choices could have expired, Nancy Pelosi and her spouse Paul executed choices on Apple and Microsoft stock valued at millions of dollars.
A day earlier, the call option ended; the couple each bought 5,000 shares of Apple and Microsoft stock. At their present prices, this is similar to about $930,000 in Apple stock and $1.7 million in Microsoft stock.
The overall worth of the choices increased by nearly $600,000 in the year that the option agreement was in effect due to a 33% increase in the value of the shares of both companies.
Before the deal, based on his wife’s annual financial disclosure filing, Paul Pelosi had Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft shares valued between $5 million to $25 million, based on Forbes.
Early June saw early trading increase Apple share prices to a new high, just in time for Apple’s opening keynote at WWDC.
