Boston Working Seniors Will Receive Tax Credit Under Senior Tax Work-Off Program Following New Tax Relief Package

Following the approval of the new tax relief package, working seniors in Boston expect to receive up to $2,000 tax credit every year under the Senior Tax Work-Off Program, which will greatly help them meet their basic needs.

According to reports from The Salem News, the new tax credit aims to provide assistance and relief to eligible working seniors struggling to live by amidst the increasing cost of living in their towns, especially after the pandemic.

Aside from the tax credit of up to $2,000, working seniors from low-income families with high property taxes or rent bills will also expect tax cuts with the approved doubling of the circuit breaker credit for seniors.

Eligible Working Seniors Will Receive Up To $2,000 in Tax Credits Following the New Tax Relief Package

With the new tax relief package, working seniors aged 60 and above who work up to 105 hours every year are encouraged to apply to be eligible for up to $2,000 tax credits.

The tax credit for working seniors reportedly varies depending on the city and town they live in as well as the guidelines for applying to the tax relief.
