As per fundraising for the pair, the brother and sister paramedics who attended to an American couple discovered deceased in their room at a luxurious hotel in Mexico the previous week are now facing increasing medical expenses after becoming sick again.

At Rancho Pescadero near Cabo San Lucas, Abby Lutz, 28, and John Heathco, 41, who passed away from “intoxication by an unknown substance,” Fernando Valencia Sotelo and Grisel Valencia Sotelo “were overtaken” while caring for the pair.

According to fundraising for the children, they both are getting healthcare at a private facility. The crowdfund’s target of generating $30,000 in their favor has been achieved by Tuesday.

According to the event’s coordinator Hilary Chandler, an artist from the area who serves on the board of the Firefighters and Paramedics of Pescadero, Grisel, and Fernando also started to feel ill not long after they reacted to the emergency call.

They were looking throughout to find out if they saw any indications of life when they noticed each other looking unwell and claiming to be dizzy.
