Here’s how to pay your real estate property tax in Knox County.
Knox County Taxpayers are Encouraged to Pay Real Estate Property Tax Until July 7
Following the recent sending of the bills of real estate property tax in Knox County, several taxpayers are encouraged to pay their property taxes until July 7 to avoid additional charges.
Taxpayers in Knox County have two options for paying their real estate property tax: one option is paying online via credit card or using an electronic check at the treasurer’s official website, and the second option is paying directly to the treasurer’s office, which is open every Monday to Friday, from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon.
According to Knox Pages, if the taxpayers did not receive any mail of their real estate property tax statement, they must contact the treasurer’s office as soon as possible because they will be charged with a late payment penalty if they fail to do so.

Taxpayers Can Also Check Eligibility for Property Tax Freeze Program After Receiving Real Estate Property Tax Bills
Following receiving real estate property tax bills in Knox County, several taxpayers aged 65 and above with 2022 annual income less than the income limit can also check if they are eligible for relief under the Property Tax Freeze Program.
Eligible taxpayers are encouraged to submit complete requirements to the program’s office or apply via mail until April 5, 2024.
