An individual from Indiana has been taken into custody after being charged with stalking and harassing the popular singer Taylor Swift over a period of several months

Records from the jail reveal that Taebel is facing charges of stalking, intimidation, invasion of privacy, and harassment. Although Taylor Swift is not specifically named in the affidavit from LaPorte Superior Court, multiple references to the singer can be found throughout the document. The references include allusions to Swift’s management team, 13 Management; her ongoing Eras Tour; her recent boyfriend Joe Alwyn; and a song from her latest album.

According to the affidavit, Taebel allegedly sent threatening messages to Swift, as well as her team and management, between March and May of this year. One instance highlighted in the document involves Taebel sending a voice message to Swift through Instagram on March 29, in which he expressed a willingness to wear a bomb if he could not be with his “soul mate.”

The affidavit further states that Taebel sent messages to individuals closely associated with Swift, including her father and dancers

On May 5, he traveled from Long Beach, Indiana, to Swift’s residence in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon his arrival, security personnel escorted him away from the property. Later that evening, when Swift was performing at Nissan Stadium, Taebel managed to enter the venue despite being placed on a security threat list. He was subsequently recognized by security and promptly removed from the premises with the assistance of security and venue staff.

In response to these events, a temporary restraining order was requested by the legal counsel representing 13 Management, and it was granted on May 11. Taebel was served the restraining order on May 13. However, the affidavit alleges that Taebel continued to violate the order and send messages to Swift until at least May 18.
