Millions of American borrowers may be impacted by President Joe Biden’s student loan relief program, which will be decided by the Supreme Court this year. But today, despite the Court’s ruling, some qualified borrowers would still be eligible to get their debt erased after ten years.

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program aids “public staff members such as professors, firefighters, and law enforcement officers, and also individuals who are employed by a non-profit organization in a wide range of areas — by accepting the rest of the federal student loan balance for individuals who are employed in the public sector and create the specified 120 qualifying monthly payments,” as stated by the Department of Education.

As per the White House fact sheet, a government vendor is not regarded as a government worker, but any U.S. federal, state, municipal, or tribal government organization is for the PSLF Program.
