This development comes less than a month after Davis was sentenced to house arrest for his involvement in a hit-and-run incident in November 2020.
Gervonta Davis, the boxing star, has been taken into custody after violating his house arrest, and he will now serve the remaining days of his 90-day sentence in jail
According to reports, an impromptu hearing took place on Thursday, during which Davis was ordered to serve the rest of his sentence behind bars. Earlier, Davis had been sentenced to 90 days of home detention, along with three years of probation and 200 hours of community service, for the hit-and-run accident.
The incident occurred when Davis was driving his 2020 Lamborghini Urus SUV with two passengers at approximately 1:53 am on November 5, 2020. Allegedly, he ran a red light and collided with a 2004 Toyota Solara. The crash caused his vehicle to crash into a fence at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr and Washington Boulevards in Baltimore’s Ridgely’s Delight neighborhood. Davis reportedly assisted a woman from the passenger seat of his Lamborghini but left the scene before authorities arrived. He pleaded guilty on February 16 to four counts related to the incident.

Initially, a deal was rejected by Baltimore circuit judge Melissa M Phinn, which would have allowed Davis to serve 60 days of unsupervised home detention. One of the injured parties, Jyair Smith, spoke out against Davis, stating that he had asked for help but was ignored.
Despite his legal troubles, Davis’ home confinement duration is not expected to prevent him (with a professional record of 29-0, 27 KOs) from participating in a third fight later this year. His recent victory against Ryan Garcia in April was just one of the most successful matches in his 10-year professional career.
