Following his 2nd hearing, actor Danny Masterson was found guilty of 2 counts of rape on Wednesday. He had been accused of sexually assaulting multiple women he contacted with the Church of Scientology in the early 2000s.

After over a week of consideration, the jury was deadlocked on the 3rd count. At about 11 a.m. on Wednesday, they notified Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo that they enjoyed verdicts on 2 of the 3 rape counts against Masterson but were at a complete standstill on the  3rd.

At the hearing in late 2022, the jury previously deadlocked on all charges brought against Masterson.

A mixture of Masterson’s family, friends, and fans, as well as other viewers, filled the courtroom. Bijou Phillips, the actor’s wife, started crying right after the decision was announced and let forward a painful scream.

In the almost 2-week trial, the majority of the accusations made against Masterson were first made public in 2017. The victims, Chrissy B., Jen B., and N. Trout, were all active Scientologists and had crossed paths with Masterson throughout the organization.
