Malibu Sniper Fatally Shots 35-Year-Old Man While Camping in Malibu Creek State Park

A Malibu sniper identified as Anthony Rauda was convicted after fatally shooting a 35-year-old man, Tristan Beaudette, while camping in Malibu Creek State Park with his two daughters, aged 2 and 4.

The Malibu sniper shot the victim in the head and reportedly did not harm his two daughters, but the case considered the children victims of attempted murders as they were present during the shooting incident that killed their father.

According to authorities, the Malibu sniper was arrested near the state park, and they found the rifle he used to fatally shot the victim inside his backpack, AP News reported.

Malibu Sniper Faces Multiple Charges After Fatally Shooting Man in State Park

Following the shooting incident, the state park temporarily closed during the investigation to cooperate with authorities to catch and arrest the Malibu sniper.

The Malibu sniper faced multiple charges, including murder, and will be sentenced to 40 years to life imprisonment for killing the 35-year-old man and giving trauma to his two young daughters, who witnessed their father’s tragic death.
