A 15-year-old boy was arrested after a gun and ammunition were found inside his backpack at school.
15-Year-Old Boy Brings Gun and Ammunition To Phoenix High School
A 15-year-old boy, not named by authorities, was arrested Friday after hiding a semi-automatic rifle and ammunition inside his backpack and bringing them to school.
According to authorities, the school officials received a report that there was a weapon inside the school premises, where they later discovered the rifle and ammunition inside the 15-year-old boy’s backpack and lunchbox.
Authorities have been strict with firearms, especially in school, after the national ban on rifles and other weapons was implemented following multiple cases of school mass shootings locally and nationally, HuffPost reported.

15-Year-Old Boy Arrested After Bringing Firearm Inside School Premises
After the investigation, authorities did not reveal additional details about the incident to the public, including how the 15-year-old boy owned the rifle and ammunition or why he brought it to school.
The Phoenix school where the 15-year-old boy was caught was placed under lockdown when the officials received a report that a possible firearm was inside to avoid any panic among the students and staff.
The 15-year-old boy was arrested after being caught with firearms and is currently in police custody.
