A 13-year-old boy used a slingshot to hit a 17-year-old stranger, who was not publicly identified after he attempted to kidnap his 8-year-old sister in their backyard.
According to authorities, the 13-year-old boy’s younger sister was looking for mushrooms in their backyard Wednesday when the 17-year-old stranger appeared from the woods and grabbed her. Fortunately, the boy witnessed the kidnapping attempt and hit the stranger using a slingshot.
The 17-year-old stranger immediately fled after the 13-year-old boy hit him, which was also witnessed by another family member, Law and Crime reported.

Stranger Hit By 13-Year-Old Boy Arrested After Attempted Kidnapping
Following the kidnapping attempt, authorities found the 17-year-old stranger, who went hiding in a gas station near the location of the incident, and later confessed his plans of kidnapping and severely beating the 13-year-old boy’s sister if he succeeded in the attempt.
The 17-year-old stranger faced multiple charges, including attempted assault and kidnapping, and was set with a $150,000 surety bond after almost kidnapping the 13-year-old boy’s sister if he did not act immediately to save her.
