Two Milwaukee residents were handed prison sentences on Thursday for their involvement in a series of shootings near the Fiserv Forum, which left at least 17 people injured following a Milwaukee Bucks playoff game in May 2022.

Two Milwaukee Residents Sentenced for Shootings Near Milwaukee Bucks Playoff Game

The shootings were a result of a long-standing dispute between two groups, according to the police. Marquise Jackson, 25, was given a 22-year prison sentence and 15 years of extended supervision after pleading guilty to aggravated battery and seven counts of first-degree reckless injury. Alexus Jackson-Milton, 21, was sentenced to five years in prison and five years of extended supervision after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit aggravated battery.

One of the other men was given a 30-year prison sentence. The shootings occurred after the Milwaukee Bucks playoff game, leaving many people injured. The Fiserv Forum is a popular venue for the team and attracts many fans to the area. The sentencing of the two individuals is expected to bring some closure to the victims and their families.
