After announcing his bid for reelection in 2024, President Biden’s popularity rating fell to a new level.

According to the Washington Post-ABC News poll, from February and May, the president’s popularity rating dropped 6% points, and the proportion of respondents who said they approved of how Biden was performing his job collapsed from 42 to 36%. In the most recent poll, 56% of respondents voiced their disapproval.

Similar to February, 18% of Americans now “completely agree” with the president’s job, thereby but the percentage of people who “completely disagree” increased to 47%.

When questioned about who they thought handled the economic situation more effectively, former President Trump and Vice President Biden, respectively, 54% of the respondents replied Trump and 36% answered Biden “so far.” An additional 7 percent answered neither.
