Texas woman detained for working as a dentist lacking a license

As per a May 5 article from the Laredo Morning Times, a lady in Texas was detained for performing dental work lacking a license.

Esthela Guzman Hernandez was detained by Laredo police when they learned that she had performed a tooth canal on a person in a residence.

According to the report, officers searched the apartment and discovered a dentist’s couch and chair, dental instruments and machinery, air compressors, an X-ray machine, appointment journals, and patient records.

The bail for Ms. Guzman Hernandez, who was accused of breaking the Texas Dentistry Act, is $50,000.

The victim reported that Guzman had carried out a dental operation at an apartment in the 1500 block of East Lyon Street, according to the police.

Guzman’s residence in Mexico was found out throughout the inquiry.

Additionally, the investigation turned up no records demonstrating that Guzman held a Texas dental license.
