About $2.2 Million Was Awarded to Several Springfield Businesses and Nonprofits
As part of the 11th round of ARPA awards, 39 Springfield businesses and nonprofits reportedly received almost $2.2 million in funds Wednesday.
According to MassLive, $1,395,000 was awarded to 23 Springfield businesses, while $888,820.70 was awarded to 16 Springfield nonprofits, with almost 88% of Springfield businesses and nonprofits awardees being either woman-owned businesses or minority.
The ARPA awards aimed to help several Springfield businesses and nonprofits, especially those that suffered from financial struggles during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Springfield Businesses and Nonprofits Express Gratitude After Receiving the Awards
During the event, the owners of the Springfield businesses and nonprofits who received the awards expressed their joy and gratitude.
A non-profit co-founder named Clinton Harris was grateful for the $75,000 awarded to the Black Behavioral Health Network and claimed that the fund would greatly help them provide support for office space and staffing for several other services to all colors.
One of the directors of Springfield businesses claimed that the awards would be enough to fund micro and small businesses and provide quality services within the community.
