Ro Khanna, a Democratic congressman from California, and others supported CNN journalist Don Lemon after he conducted a difficult conversation with a Republican candidate which might have led to Lemon’s dismissal.
A dramatic cable news homicide occurred on Monday when Fox News unexpectedly dismissed top-rated broadcaster, Tucker Carlson. Minutes afterward, CNN immediately removed a longstanding anchor who was the backbone of their morning broadcast. The foundation of CNN This Morning, the morning program he co-hosted with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, was founded by Lemon.
The last point in Lemon’s case, according to reports, was an emotional section in that Lemon criticized GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy for making several false claims regarding Black history.
High-profile opponents including former president Donald Trump and former Trump UN Ambassador Nikki Haley celebrated the surprising dismissal with success dances, but other well-known people came to Lemon’s support, particularly on the matter of the conversation with Ramaswamy.
