Authorities reported that a guy was shot and murdered within a smoke store in Jersey City. The attack allegedly took place at All Stars Smoke Shop near Danforth Avenue and Rose Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to the cops.
According to authorities, Khalil King, a 23-year-old from North Carolina, had been discovered inside the smoke store with a wound from a gunshot. In the location, he was identified as dead.
In addition to the Jersey City Police, the Homicide Unit of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is currently conducting an investigation.
The smoke store is close to Public School 20 and is located on the ground floor of what looks to be an apartment building.
According to a woman that resides down the street who talked to Eyewitness News, the surrounding area is safe, yet she is concerned about aggression taking place in smoke businesses.
“You aren’t interested in that occurring in your community. For a single one, you aren’t interested to watch someone die. I am not concerned with what took place, but when you discuss gun violence, there is no justification for it, stated April Rosario.
Authorities are now searching for the gunman and investigating the details of the incident to find out more information.
