Federal Government Proposal for Affordable Post-secondary Education in Canada

The Federal Government is proposing new outlets to help post-secondary education students.

Federal Government’s new measures include variations to post-secondary education students that will grant them savings accounts so additional money can get to the students who need it.

The higher cost of living means students need more support to pay for post-secondary education. The federal government said.

These are the four ways the federal government plan to make affordable post-secondary education for students. These will be part of the federal budget for 2023.

  1. Increasing Canada Student Grants
  2. Raising the interest-free Canada Student Loan limit
  3. Waiving credit score screenings for mature students
  4. Increasing limits on particular Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) withdrawal
