Put these baking treats on your watch list after reading this post on the 10 best cooking and baking series on Netflix.

I believe we’ve all become a little bit baking crazy since lockdown. I’m not blaming everyone. The majority of us spent the time honing and enhancing our baking and cooking abilities. Being able to buy flour was formerly impossible because everyone was trying their hand at baking. This is why there are so many baking and cooking programmes available on our streaming sites that we can watch at our leisure and perhaps even try out ourselves. The following is a list of 10 Netflix programmes that contain baking and cooking and are currently streaming. To watch, you don’t have to be a friend baker. Perhaps you want to start with some pointers and advice or want to watch something a little odd and eccentric to mix up your schedule.

10 Best Baking and Cooking Shows on Netflix

10. Is it Cake? (2022)

What Is That?

9.Nailed It! (2018)

has taken over streaming services, with users attempting to mimic it, spark interest in it, and deceive their friends and families. The contestants in this cooking challenge television series must bake lifelike things and persuade the hosts that they are real. The show is cheesy, and the host is a touch obnoxious, but it’s pretty addictive, and you’ll be actively participating by guessing, is it cake?

8. Easy-Bake Battle: The Home Cooking Competition (2022)

With seven seasons so far, Nailed It! has enjoyed a record-breaking run and developed a cult-like following. Even more, it has grown to include other spin-offs, like Nailed It! Mexico, Spain, Germany, etc. This event has a little something for everyone. The funny host Nicole Byer and her partner in culinary misery, Jacques Torres, are in a game-show style. On the show, inexperienced bakers who think they’re better than everyone else attempt to create masterpieces, but it all ends in a massive mess. This is the show for you if you don’t want to watch successful bakers; it’s funny and absurd.

7. The Great British Bake Off (2010)

the programme where the Easy-Bake oven serves as both the key and the king. Even though it’s a competition, this series isn’t about the technical aspects of baking and cooking; rather, it’s about how quickly you can whip up a delicious dinner. Easy-Bake Battle: The Home Cooking Tournament, hosted by Antoni Porowski of Queer Eye, features amateur home cooks who show off their one-minute meal preparation skills. They participate in two challenges—one savoury and one sweet—in each episode for a chance to win money. This programme is nutritious and sweet, and it could provide you with some quick culinary shortcuts.

Naturally, as a Brit, this is my preferred baking programme. It has a lengthy history and has had a few hosts over the years, but it has never lost its allure and charm. We anticipate this show on our televisions every year, so it’s heartening that they can draw a large audience from around the world. The purpose of the competition is to test the inventiveness and baking prowess of the bakers who enter the tent. Each episode of The Great British Baking Show features a star baker—someone who has performed exceptionally—and a loser—someone who simply didn’t measure up and is eliminated. You won’t believe how you’ll end up crying over baking, yet friendships and relationships are formed.

6. Cooked with Cannabis (2020)

A new season of the spin-off Junior Bake Off, which follows the same structure as MasterChef Junior but features younger children, has also been made available on Netflix. You might feel ashamed that some of these kids can bake better than you. Many of them are extremely remarkable, and you might learn a few tricks. If you like the show, you should check out this one because it’s weird and entertaining.

5. School of Chocolate (2021)

With the use of leafy herbs, THC infusions, and CBD sauces, chefs compete in this Netflix hit with a high Rotten Tomatoes rating to get the hosts and special guests high on upgraded cannabis cuisine. Seems absurd, huh? Using cooking to get people high while watching TV? It’s undoubtedly unique and could provide you with some entertaining DIY baking suggestions.

4. Baking Impossible (2021)

Chocolate School

3. The Chef Show (2019)

has an intriguing premise because nobody ever leaves this baking competition. This cooking competition is a real workshop in honing your talents with chocolate rather than using the usual, conventional knockout format. You’ll be astounded by what these chefs can do with chocolate as you watch them study the craft with chef and master chocolatier Amaury Guichon and eight other chefs. It resembles the Michelin-star variation of baking competitions.

2. Somebody Feed Phil (2018)

For me, this is a traditional baking competition where the contestants compete to the hilt in order to win financial prizes and the right to brag and gloat. In this show, hosted by Justin Willman, bakers and engineers work together to create marvels that defy our wildest dreams. We hope and pray that these teams will get along well and that everything goes easily because they have never worked together before, but we are aware that this doesn’t always happen. Imagine an edible boat that floats—these designs are so bizarre. A must-see for lovers of baking.

1. Pressure Cooker (2023)

Do you recall the movie Chef from 2014? The Chef Show is the TV show that is a spinoff. Chef Roy Choi, who co-produced and acted as a consultant on Chef, Like Chef, and The Chef Show, co-stars as himself with Favreau in this series that pays homage to fine dining and the people who create it. Interviewing and cooking with accomplished chefs and famous visitors, Favreau and Choi. Cooking appears enjoyable and simple, and the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant.

This is a humorous PBS travel documentary series on cuisine and culture. Everyone Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal goes to different towns and nations to sample and experience the local cuisine while filming the show. Someone Feed Phil is charming and humorous thanks to Rosenthal, who also has a terrific sense of humour.

On this bad boy cooking show, 11 chefs live together and compete to win a $100,000 prize by using their culinary prowess and business acumen. A sum of money that could change your life. Seems entertaining, similar to Hell’s Kitchen with a bit less Gordon Ramsey yelling, but the gimmick is that at the conclusion of each competition, the 11 contestants vote for one another. Will this be a shrewd or sincere victory?
