The new thriller Missing (2023) is a “screen life” movie, in contrast to some thrillers from the past that functioned in the found footage genre, such as The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity. The story of Missing is not genuine. Marine Grundman wrote a book with the title Missing: A True Story of a Childhood Lost, but this movie has nothing to do with it. Missing, a revered 1982 Jack Lemon film, received four Academy Award nominations. Best Picture, Best Actor (Jack Lemmon), Best Actress (Sissy Spacek), and Best Adapted Screenplay are among the honours given. This 2023 rendition, however, is not a remake. That was the actual account of what happened to American journalist Charles Horman after the 1973 coup in Chile.

Is Missing a Good Movie?
