On Thursday night, the Alabama women’s basketball team defeated the Tulane Green Wave by a score of 72-61 to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Brittany Davis had the most impressive stat line of the night with 24 points and 11 boards, her seventh double-double in her professional career.
Jada Rice scored 10 points and grabbed four boards in addition to blocking three shots. Hannah Barber scored 12 points.
Marta Galic scored nine points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Tulane.
Summary of Performance
- With 24 points and 11 boards in the win, Davis notched her second straight 20-point game this season.
- Davis led the team with 20 points, and the other two players in double figures were Barber (12) and Rice (10).
- UA had a 45.2% field goal percentage and a 40.9% three-point percentage while limiting the Green Wave to a 34.4% field goal percentage and a 30.0% three-point percentage.
- Alabama never trailed in the game, and at one point in the fourth quarter, they were up 65-44.

In order to keep its road trip going, Alabama will be flying to South Florida on November 16. Game time in Tampa, Florida is set at 6 pm.

“Wins on the road are incredibly difficult. We really came up with a clutch performance to seal the deal, in my opinion. By the time there were only six minutes left, we had a 23-point lead.
I’d want to see us put together a stronger final stretch, but I’m happy with how we were able to make up ground by focusing on the details. Significant pedagogical value. We may simply push along and resume our duties the next day.”
