He was born Jason Aldine Williams on February 28, 1977, and he is an American country music singer and songwriter. Breaking Bow Records has published eleven albums and forty songs under Aldean’s contract since 2005.
Career
It was certified quadruple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for his My Kinda Party album from 2010. (RIAA). Double-platinum status was awarded to his 2012 album Night Train, which had already been certified platinum in 2005 for his self-titled debut. In his career, Aldean has been nominated for Grammys five times, twice for Best Country Album, and once for Best Pop Vocal Performance.
He has had 27 #1 hits on the Hot Country Songs or Country Airplay charts, including “Why,” “She’s Country,” “Big Green Tractor,” “Don’t You Wanna Stay” (a duet with Kelly Clarkson), Dirt Road Anthem, “Fly Over States,” Take a Little Ride, “The Only Way I Know” (a collaboration with Luke Bryan and Eric Church), Night Train, “When She Says Baby,” “Burnin’ It Down,” “Just Gettin’ Started,” and “Tonight looks good on you.”
Controversy
According to country singer Jason Aldean, Eric Church’s absence from a scheduled concert to watch a basketball playoff game has sparked controversy and discussion. According to country music’s most famous performer, the task is beyond his abilities.’
The singer tells E! News Daily Pop’s Loni Love and Melissa Peterman, “I don’t know that I could cancel a gig to make it to a game. People who buy tickets to your concert have a responsibility to uphold their half of the bargain, I believe.”
Commenting on the choice by Church that has sparked debate among his fans online and garnered extensive media attention, Aldean said, “I don’t know if I could do that.”
For Jason Aldean, Gather Again Tour in San Antonio, Texas, Church was scheduled to perform on April 2 at AT&T Center. March 30 was the day of Church’s announcement that he had modified his plans and would attend the NCAA Men’s Final Four contest between Duke and North Carolina in New Orleans with his family, which he conceded was a “selfish” choice.
“This Saturday, my family and I will stand together to support the Tar Heels since the team has reached the Final Four,” he writes to his supporters. “As a lifetime Carolina basketball fan, I’ve watched Carolina and Duke struggle over the years, but to have them meet in the Final Four for the first time in the NCAA Tournament is any sports enthusiast’s fantasy.”
The country musician acknowledged that
It was a huge ask for him to make of his fans who had already made plans to attend the event.
“Because I want to spend this time with my family and the sports community, I’m asking the Choir to sacrifice their Saturday night plans to accommodate me. We want to be a part of a crowd at a game of this importance because of the same kind of passion that people show when they come to see us perform.”

Some fans commended Church’s choice and praised him for his dedication to the Tar Heels, but a lot of others pointed out the lengths fans must to attend a show. So yet, no word on a make-up date for the San Antonio event, which a few members of the Choir have already reserved airfare and lodging for.
