KJ Apa from Riverdale has agreed to star in the upcoming motorcycle racing film One Fast Move from Gulfstream Pictures and Luber Roklin Entertainment. The film will start filming in Atlanta later this month.
In Kelly Blatz’s action film, a dishonorably discharged soldier (Apa) contacts his father after a long estrangement in order to fulfill his goal of competing in Supersport motorcycle races. A small-town wannabe singer he meets while training starts to tear down the barriers his father’s absence had erected. Gulfstream is expected to supply the financing for the project, which Apa and Blatz have been working on with producers for over a year. Through their Gulfstream Pictures label, Mike Karz and Bill Bindley are producing alongside Matt Luber and Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment.
The Second Time Apa Has Worked with Gulfstream Is on One Fast Move.
After the 2019 rom-com The Last Summer, Apa’s second project with Gulfstream is One Fast Move. It’s also Gulfstream’s second collaboration with Luber Rocklin after the romantic comedy The Other Zoey, starring Josephine Langford and also starring Drew Starkey, Archie Renaux, Andie MacDowell, and Heather Graham, and Patrick Fabian and currently in post-production.
